“When disᴀssembling a cabinet leg, I suddenly discovered the skeleton of a bizarre creature. It was about 15 cm long, lying in a cocoon-shaped nest. I reflexively threw it away because I was too scared. It reminds me of scary monsters in horror movies.”
Biologist from the museum of nature Stuart Hine said, based on the size, this could be a mouse skeleton. However, it also takes on the appearance of a strange creature when the skull is flipped backwards, missing forelimbs and shoulder blades.
The cocoon is surrounded by skin, animal hair and silk from caterpillars. The creature’s tail is still in the skin, so it is possible that the cocoon only formed about a year or two ago.
This skeleton is reminiscent of the image of the creature exploding from the chest of actor John Hurt in the Ridley Scoot series. Αnd experts say that this horror skeleton resembles the skeleton of a giant mouse.
“It’s like a big mouse. Their head is shaped like that because they turn and look back before they die,” Daily Mail quoted Αmy Fensome, of the University of Exeter, as saying.
