While the first goal was a penalty that deceived the goalkeeper, the completion of the double was an exquisite run and finish by the Portuguese captain. The two goals helped Ronaldo continue to chase Lukaku on the Euro 2024 qualifying top scorer rankings (9 compared to 10).

Portugal then played even better and scored 3 more goals against Bosnia before the first half ended. The owners of the goals were Bruno Fernandes, Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix respectively.
In the second half, Ronaldo and his teammates slowed down the pace of play and sometimes even gave up the field to Bosnia in search of an honorable goal, but no more goals were scored. CR7 was then taken off in the 65th minute.
Defeating Bosnia 5-0, Portugal extended their winning streak in the Euro 2024 qualifiers to 8 after they had tickets to the finals from the previous match.
